Lily Min
President

Lily (she/her/hers) is a senior studying Chemical Engineering and Biophysics from Vienna, VA. She is interested in pharmaceutical research and healthcare inequities. Lily is also on the advocacy committee for SWE and is involved in research at Penn Medicine. In her free time, she likes weightlifting and exploring the Philly restaurant scene.

Alfredo Velazquez Vazquez (he/him/his), is from Fort Worth, Texas. He is a junior studying bioengineering where he hope to integrate engineering principles with biological concepts to create innovations that are useful to society. He enjoys listening to various types of music, and watching K-dramas in his spare time.
McKenzie Davis

McKenzie Davis (she/her/hers) is a senior from Bethesda, Maryland studying Bioengineering. Outside of USABE, McKenzie is also Vice President of Outreach for the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and a tutor. In her free time, McKenzie enjoys spending time with friends, exploring Philadelphia, baking, cooking Belizean food, listening to music, and playing piano and violin. McKenzie is passionate about learning new things, education equity, and helping those around her, and she’s thrilled to be a part of USABE this year!
Evelyn Yu

Evelyn Yu (she/her/hers) is a sophomore from Berwyn, PA studying computer science. She is an active member of SWE and WiCS. She also enjoys design and visual arts, and hopes to blend her interests in studies of computer vision. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods and exploring bookstores.
Ricky Wang-Polendo

Ricardo Wang-Polendo (he/him) is a current VIPER sophomore from Roseville, Minnesota studying Bioengineering and Biology. He loves to play Ultimate Frisbee during the summer and go skiing in the winter. He played the piano for almost 14 years, and loves any chance to play the piano. An interesting fact about Ricky is that for his school's 9/11 history project, he managed to track down an FBI agent and hear his personal story of 9/11 and the case he took on to take down further hijackers.

Makayla Cheng (she/her/hers) is a sophomore from Los Angeles, California studying Bioengineering. She is interested in the field of biotechnology, healthcare inequities, and biomedical devices. Makayla is also actively involved in Access Engineering, SWE, and BMES. In her free time, Makayla enjoys reading books, crocheting, trying new foods, and listening to music. Makayla is excited to meet new people and be a part of USABE this year!

Emily Duan (she/her/hers) is a sophomore from Gaithersburg, Maryland studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Chemistry in VIPER. She is also a member of VIPER Student Board and the Daily Pennsylvanian. Emily is interested in renewable energy and sustainable technologies that reduce environmental impact. Outside of classes, she spends her time listening to music, going to the gym, cooking, and finding new napping spots around campus. Emily does not know how to ride a bike and is still waiting for someone with enough patience to teach her.

Aidan (he/him/his) is a freshman from Boulder, CO studying Artificial Intelligence. He is also a part of the A. James Clark Scholars Honors Program. Aidan is interested in studying the intersection of society and data. Additionally, he is passionate about finding ways to create equity within educational workspaces. In his free time, he enjoys listening to audio books and watching true crime documentaries.

Outside of USABE, she is involved with neural engineering research through Penn Medicine and Penn Women's Club Soccer. In her free time, she likes weightlifting, playing sports, listening to music, and trying new foods.

McKenzie Tebo (she/her/hers) is a freshman from Baltimore, Maryland studying Bioengineering. She is interested in the fields of immunoengineering and cell/tissue engineering, and passionate about solving health inequities. She dances, plays the viola, and also loves making ceramics. In her free time, she loves to travel, listen to music, and spend time with her friends. Fun fact -- she's Cameroonian-American! McKenzie is very grateful for this opportunity to serve the Penn Engineering community!
